The Friday morning rush hour again caused significant disruptions to traffic in several places, mainly around Budapest and on the highways. According to the police and Utinform, the following events are currently hindering traffic:
❗ Several cars collided on the M3 highway – Traffic to the capital stopped
The most serious accident occurred on the introductory section of the M3 highway, at kilometer 12, where several cars collided under unclear circumstances. Traffic came to a complete halt, the jam reached 4 kilometers and is constantly growing.
The accident also affected traffic on the M0 highway, mainly at intersections where drivers want to turn onto the M3. Police and highway management specialists are working on the scene to save and clear the road. If you can, please choose an alternative route to the capital.
🚓 Official events in the Hejopapi area – M3, km 156
Further disruptions can be experienced at kilometer 156 of the M3 highway, in the Hejopapi area, where traffic has stopped across the entire width towards Vásárosnaményi due to official events. The exact reason for the measures has not yet been announced, but the police ask drivers to be patient and to follow the instructions.
🚗 The passenger car crashed into the barrier in the Monor area, at kilometer 40, while driving towards the capital on the M4 highway.
As a result of the collision, the passenger car remained in the outer lane, so only one lane is available on that section, and slower traffic is expected. No official information has been received about injuries yet.
🚑 Passenger car overturned on Highway 8 near Inota

A passenger car overturned on Highway 8 on the Székesfehérvár side, in the Inota area, at kilometer 25. As a result of the accident, only one lane can be used on the road section, which may lead to temporary traffic jams. Ambulances have also arrived at the scene, but detailed information about the injured has not yet been released.
