Sharlotka is a beloved classic recipe, but get ready for a version that will take your palate to new heights!
This apple pie is not just an ordinary sweet treat, but a true gastronomic experience that combines simplicity with the luxury of taste.
Imagine the moment you take it out of the oven – the aroma of juicy, ripe apples mingles with the vanilla and the cream that has just begun to take shape,
creating an air of sweet sensation that you will want to share with everyone around you.
Ingredients for the cream:
— 1 egg
— 50 g. sugar
— 15 g. vanillin
— 15 g. cornflour
— 250 ml fresh milk
Ingredients for the dough:
— 2 eggs
— 100 g. sugar
— a pinch of salt
— 100 ml milk
— 50 ml vegetable oil (unflavored)
— 220 g. all-purpose flour
— 1 teaspoon baking powder
— 300 g. ripe apples, cut into small cubes
Instructions:
1. The cream, the heart of our dessert – In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture becomes fluffy and light, like a cloud.
Then, add the cornflour to thicken your cream, mixing well so that there are no lumps. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly, until the texture becomes smooth and silky.
2. The magic of the fire – Pour the mixture into a saucepan and place it on medium heat. Stir constantly until you see the magic happen:
the cream begins to thicken and acquire a rich, creamy texture. Once it reaches the perfect texture, remove from the heat and let it cool slowly.
3. The dough, the secret to the fluffy texture – In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and a pinch of salt until it becomes a light, airy cream.
Add the milk and oil and mix well. The base of your dough will be liquid, but don’t worry, this texture is exactly what you need to make your dessert take off.
4. The art of the dough – Then, sift the flour with the baking powder and add it little by little to the mixture. Mix well, until you obtain a soft and fluffy dough,
that maintains fluidity without being too liquid. It should be elastic, but not tight – a dough that promises to leave the perfect sensation on the palate.
5. The apple, the element that brings the magic – Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. The apples will give the pie the perfect balance of flavor – sweet, sour, fresh.
Mix them with the dough, so that each bite hides the sensation of the fruit melting in the mouth.
6. Creating the sweet work of art – Pour the dough into a buttered and floured mold and spread it evenly. Add the cream carefully,
creating a beautiful pattern on the surface, as if making an artistic touch on the pie. The moment it goes into the oven will be a promise of delicious completion.
7. The feeling of accomplishment – Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes, until the surface has a golden, crispy texture.
You’ll know it’s ready when its aroma fills the room and the pie has taken on the perfect look.
Let it cool slightly and, before serving, sprinkle with icing sugar to add a final touch of sweetness.
Every bite will take you to a world of flavors that you’ll want to repeat again and again!
This apple pie is more than just a dessert – it’s an experience that combines the magic of cream, dough and fresh apples in a feast of flavors that will steal your heart.
Perfect for any occasion, this pie is your way of showing how simplicity can become art in the kitchen!
