One of the world’s most beloved country music legends, Dolly Parton, has made a heartfelt decision: at 77 years old, she is saying goodbye to long and exhausting tours for good.
While she may still appear occasionally at festivals or special weekend performances, the months-long concert tours are now becoming a thing of the past.
For Dolly, this is not about retirement — it’s about finally slowing down and focusing on the things that truly matter.

For more than sixty years, she has lived in the spotlight, adored by millions of fans around the world. But now she feels the time has come to choose the warmth of home over the glare of the stage lights.

The person closest to her heart is her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, whom she met in 1964 and married two years later. Their relationship has become one of Hollywood’s most mysterious and enduring love stories.
Recently, the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows — quietly, intimately, and far away from the cameras.

Dolly also spoke honestly about how touring now takes too much time and energy from her life. As the years pass, being close to her loved ones, especially her husband, has become more important than ever.
She also reflected on her past health struggles. In 1982, she collapsed on stage due to endometriosis, a painful gynecological condition that deeply affected her life.

Even so, Dolly has no intention of stopping her creative work. She is currently working on new music — including rock ’n’ roll songs inspired in part by her husband’s musical taste.
In addition, she is involved in the holiday production Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas and is also preparing for the film Run, Rose, Run, where she is working alongside Reese Witherspoon.

Although Dolly Parton’s name has long been synonymous with the history of country music, today she is no longer chasing records or dreaming of filling massive stadiums.
Instead, she wants to enjoy life’s simple joys — peace, quiet moments at home, and the people who have stood by her side throughout her entire journey.
